Enjoy!

IN FLAMES is probably one of the most disputed metal bands of the last decade. You will find a lot of fans of their newer stuff, as well of their older stuff, but (especially in forums) you hardly ever see fans who love both their older and their newer stuff. "Reroute To Remain" is basically the turning point in their career, while their older material may be seen as the definition of the Gothenburg Melodic Death Metal style, they follow a more modern approach on more recent releases. As already said, this album is probably the beginning of the "modern In Flames era", and even though it's despised by their "true" fans, it's still a really good album. You will still find typical In Flames characteristics, like breathtaking melodies, but it's also notable that In Flames are experimenting a lot, drawing influences from American styles like Alternative Metal and, on more recent releases, Metalcore. Compared to their older stuff, this results in songs that are by no way less complex, but easier to listen to and to understand. Take "Trigger" for example, the drums are even more complex than on most older songs, yet the guitars have a straight "In Your Face"-attitude, giving the song a perfect vibe to bang your head from the beginning to the end. And guess what, most of the songs on this record are perfect for parties with a more rock and metal-orientated audience, "Cloud Connected" is probably one of most favorited In Flames songs ever. I guess I don't have to tell you to get this record, if you don't already have it, because it's freaking awesome to listen to, but don't expect any deeper meaning. It won't take long and this album will catch you for at least a short amount of time, so get it and bang your fucking head!
